Latest newsletter from Good Food-Good People:

Happy Holidays and good cheer to you and yours and all the good eaters in your home.

Please make note: Because of our busy holiday schedule the order Deadline has been moved up 1 day.

Please have all orders in by SATURDAY DEC 19TH BY 9:00 PM

We’ve decided we like the carnival life so our impromptu “farmers markets” will appear again at both sites Dec 22nd..

Dennis will walk the farmers tightrope at the YMCA parking lot while Tenley swings from the high trapeze at Local Roots.

You can expect our tables to be well stocked with a variety of winter squashes, potatoes, parsnips, turnips, cabbages, carrots, garlic, many varieties of apples and surprise appearances of late season fresh greenery.

Remember, we will have lots of other delectables that make welcome holiday gifts for friends, family, officemates, teachers and hosts: real maple syrup, sorghum molasses, wildflower honey, local apple butter, baby cheesecakes, hand-crafted soaps, handspun wool yarn, and stunning wooden cuttings boards and cookware from our neighbors at Phoenix Hardwoods.

New additions to our menu this week are rabbit, dried apple rings, black walnuts, and our favorite collection of local foods-friendly cookbooks.

As always please email your orders to gfgpalacarte (at) swva (dot) net. Deadline is Saturday Dec 19th at 9:00 PM. Please give specific details with your orders to eliminate confusion (i.e. size, varieties, cuts). Include your full name, drop site and phone number in case we need to contact you about your order.

Deliveries will be on Tuesday, Dec 22. Look for the bright yellow van at these locations:

Roanoke – Local Roots Restaurant parking lot-- 3:30-6:00 PM

Blacksburg- YMCA Thrift Store parking lot—12:00-2:00 PM
